Exploring Water with Preschoolers

Overview

This training was created in collaboration between UNM ECSC and Explora to support educators working with preschool-aged children. During this training, participants will get their “hands wet,” while activating their curiosity and wonderings, not only about water, but also about how to follow children’s curiosity and wonder, and further their quest for knowledge through inquiry-based science!  

Objective
ABO: By the end of this session, educators will have:

Identified
what inquiry-based science looks like in a preschool classroom.

Practiced
asking questions to promote higher level thinking with children.

Created
a plan for incorporating inquiry-based learning around concepts of water exploration in their classroom.
