The purpose of this 2 1/2 hour session is to strengthen early childhood business professionals with the understanding of staff recruitment tools, organizational staff support systems, and elements necessary to support the retention of talented staff. This training is best suited for childcare business professionals with administrative responsibility who support or have some responsibility for staff within the program.

Module 4 – Recruiting and Retaining Staff
Participants will
- understand best practices related to recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
- have a framework for building an effective orientation plan for new employees.
- be familiar with the components of a staff handbook.
- identify strategies for providing feedback to employees.
