Overview
This session in the trauma-responsive care series offers an overview of trauma. Participants will be introduced to the concept of trauma-responsive care and how it can support babies and toddlers who have experienced trauma or those who are at risk of experiencing trauma. This course meets criteria for the Infant/Toddler specific training required by NM Childcare licensing.
Objective
  • Define and explore trauma.
  • Discuss the types of experiences that may be traumatic for babies and toddlers.
  • Explore how trauma-responsive care can strengthen infant/toddler resilience.
